Each month of 2024 will be dedicated to one of our wines, offered at a special price \u2014 Il Matto is available until 15 February online, at the cellar door and at the MAGAZZINO Dianella at the special price of \u20ac22.00.<\/p>\n

A Pure Expression of Sangiovese<\/strong>
\nBorn from a selection of the best Sangiovese<\/a> grapes from the Buontempi vineyard, Il Matto delle Giuncaie stands out for its complex structure and modern elegance. It is a tribute to the purity of the Sangiovese grape, a wine that brings out the essence of this iconic Tuscan variety, embodying the soul of Dianella’s terroir.<\/p>\n

Tasting Notes<\/strong>
\nVisually, the wine has an intense ruby red colour, promising a rich, deep tasting experience. On the nose, Il Matto delle Giuncaie offers a floral bouquet of violet that blends harmoniously with red and black fruit notes. Sweet spices, tobacco and liquorice round out the olfactory picture, adding complexity and charm.<\/p>\n

On the palate, the wine is full and vigorous. Its tannic structure is dense and velvety, features that contribute to the wine’s overall complexity. With lovely acidity and impeccable balance, this Sangiovese proves extremely elegant.<\/p>\n

Production and Ageing<\/strong>
\nComing from the Vinci area of Tuscany, Il Matto delle Giuncaie is the result of careful work in the vineyard and cellar. Hand-picking and selecting the best grapes, followed by meticulous winemaking, are just the beginning of its journey. After temperature-controlled fermentation and around 20 days of skin maceration, the wine matures for 18 months in barriques and tonneaux, 30% new and 70% second-passage, a choice that emphasises its structure and character.<\/p>\n

\nIl Matto delle Giuncaie is available in several formats: 375ml, 750ml, 1.5L, 3L and 5L, to suit every need and occasion.<\/p>\n
