In 2019, to mark the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s death, Villa Dianella chose to honor him in a special way: by bringing back to his homeland the Malvasia di Candia grapes from Leonardo\u2019s original vineyard, located at the Atellani House in Milan. This is how La Vigna di Leonardo a Vinci was born \u2014 a project that brings together agriculture, culture, and creativity. <\/p>\n

Today, guests can visit this symbolic vineyard and take part in experiences inspired by Leonardo\u2019s legacy: from tastings of historical wines \u2014 like l\u2019Orpicchio and l\u2019Acquarosa (the latter based on a recipe from the Atlantic Codex) \u2014 to real “Leonardian” cooking classes or private dinners in Leonardo\u2019s vineyard.<\/p>\n

\nThese lessons tell the story and reimagine the dishes of the time, showcasing utensils inspired by Leonardo\u2019s drawings and fun facts about the cuisine of Ludovico il Moro\u2019s court. The menu, made with simple yet refined ingredients, always ends with the signature wine: l\u2019Orpicchio, dedicated to Leonardo\u2019s genius. <\/p>\n
