After a fairly regular winter, spring remained colder than usual. Budbreak was slow, and the clusters needed more time to develop. This led to a more contained vegetative phase, with vines accumulating energy without rushing. While this required greater attention in the vineyard, it also favored a natural balance, reducing the risk of early stress.  <\/p>\n<p><b>From June onwards: a sudden change<\/b><br \/>\nThe arrival of summer marked a clear turning point: within a few days temperatures exceeded 30\u00b0C, driving rapid growth in the vineyards. Such a marked thermal shift had two effects: more compact, sugar-rich clusters, but also the need to carefully monitor plant hydration to avoid imbalances. Organic farming, which at Dianella is a consolidated choice, means we intervene only when necessary, respecting the natural rhythms of the vineyard.  <\/p>\n<p><b>First impressions of quality<\/b><br \/>\nField inspections these days suggest that 2025 will be a vintage with limited yields but potentially very high quality. The clusters are healthy, with small berries and thick skins: a positive sign for aromatic concentration and for red wines, especially our Sangiovese. The first analyses confirm a good balance between sugars and acidity, a factor that points to wines that are both fresh and structured.  <\/p>\n<p><b>What to expect from the 2025 wines<\/b><br \/>\nThis will be a year in which each grape variety will express its identity differently:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sangiovese:<\/strong> expected to show an elegant profile, with fine tannins and excellent acidity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cabernet Franc and Merlot:<\/strong> benefited from the high July temperatures, with rich, ripe fruit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Orpicchio:<\/strong> our rare native white variety will likely display more intense, mineral notes thanks to the day-night temperature range.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9367\" src=\"https:\/\/www.villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-768x1151.jpg 768w, https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-1025x1536.jpg 1025w, https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-1366x2048.jpg 1366w, https:\/\/villadianella.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/VillaDianella_lug_037-scaled.jpg 1708w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/>  <\/p>\n<p><b>The philosophy of Villa Dianella<\/b><br \/>\nHarvest is the culmination of a year\u2019s work, of decisions made in the vineyard, and of respect for the land.
