New Olive Oil Tasting at Villa Dianella
Why book with us
Description
Villa Dianella’s new 2026 olive oil has just arrived: green and intense, with the bitterness and pepperiness that only freshly pressed oil has. In this tasting you try it side by side with last year’s oil, to discover how different the two are.
The route starts from the villa car park, which looks out over the estate’s vineyards and olive grove. It continues through the garden, full of old terracotta jars, and ends in the cellar, at the orciaia, where the oil jars are kept.
The two oils are tasted with bruschetta, pinzimonio (fresh raw vegetables for dipping) and pecorino cheese, together with a glass of white or red wine.
The oil comes from just over 15 hectares of centuries-old olive trees on the hills of Vinci, in Tuscany’s traditional varieties: Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Pendolino, organically farmed. The olives are picked by hand and cold-pressed within a few hours of harvest.
The tasting starts at 12 noon and lasts about an hour. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay for lunch at the Villa Dianella Bistrot and order à la carte.
