With the Arrival of Summer, Il Magazzino Dianella Moves to Villa Dianella

Il Magazzino Dianella“, the shop-bistrot of Villa Dianella, located at the foot of the hill of the Dianella hamlet, with the arrival of summer is moving to Villa Dianella itself for aperitivo and dinner.

From Wednesday 5 June, in fact, the Magazzino will stay open only for lunch and as a shop (for the direct sale of all Dianella-branded products: wine, oil, honey, candles and cosmetics), while aperitivo and dinner will be served exclusively at “Il Bistrot Dianella”, located in the Villa’s former stables, which are in the hamlet right opposite the Dianella cellar.

The Dianella hamlet, in fact, has finally come back to life in its fullness, and with the completion of the restoration of the former stables too (which house six of the wine resort’s rooms and, indeed, “Il Bistrot Dianella”), Veronica Passerin d’Entrèves, owner and wonderful host, has decided to open the doors of the Bistrot at the Villa (until now available only to wine resort guests) to bring to life the unique experience of the magnificent views over the Italian garden and the estate’s vineyards.

“Il Magazzino Dianella” – explains Veronica Passerin d’Entrèves – “is something we’re very proud of; we opened it a year and a half ago and it’s giving us a great deal of satisfaction, thanks to the customers who come to see us every day, both to eat and to buy our products. But with the arrival of summer I wanted to offer the chance to experience something unique, not just culinary but also sensory, and to end a long working day outdoors, immersed in the greenery and silence of nature, enjoying the view in full, starting with the aperitivo at sunset”.

Experiencing the culinary side of “Il Bistrot Dianella”, in fact, means immersing yourself in the philosophy that the Counts Passerin d’Entrèves’ estate applies to all its activities: absolute quality, respect for the seasons, a selection of Tuscan and organic products, respect for tradition, but also attention to detail that, combined with their passion, makes the difference and makes every dish one of a kind.

At “Il Bistrot Dianella” a different offering to that of “Il Magazzino Dianella” is planned: chef Alessio Bagnoli, in fact, has designed a dedicated dinner menu, and every day will propose an “off-menu” dish.

Compared to “Il Magazzino”, the evening offering will be more elaborate, but always in line with Dianella’s philosophy, because the dishes served must represent tradition, albeit in a more contemporary way, without losing their original flavour.

During the “Aperitivo” service, guests will also be able to follow a food-and-wine pairing journey, to appreciate all the countless nuances of an honest cuisine that pairs beautifully with Dianella’s wine production.

The absolute protagonist will always be wine, in particular all the labels of Dianella organic wines , true gems of the local area.

“Il Bistrot Dianella” will have thirty covers between indoor and garden seating, and the opening is set for Wednesday 5 June.

From this date, therefore, the kitchen at “Il Magazzino Dianella” will no longer be open for aperitivo and dinner.

In the first week of “Il Bistrot Dianella”‘s opening, all guests will be offered a glass of “All’Aria Aperta”, Dianella’s rosé, ideal for summer evenings. The opening hours of “Il Bistrot Dianella” are instead:

MON/FRI aperitivo from 6:00pm to 7:30pm – dinner from 7:30pm to 9:00pm (last seating)

On Sundays, however, there will be the famous Sunday Brunch Dianella, and in the evening a new offering — the aperitivo renforcé — ideal for anyone wanting to end a restful Sunday in complete relaxation, immersed in nature.
